MODERN CLASSICAL MUSIC / PIANO
Calvin Strauss is an Italian-born pianist/composer who is an influential voice in post-minimalist composition and in the meeting of contemporary classical and alternative popular musical styles since 2016. He is classically trained and is also strongly influenced by rock, pop and electronic music.
He is known for his prolific output and for composing and recording his own music: writing for stage, opera, ballet and screen. He's also been producing and collaborating on the records of other artists and for collaborating with performance, installation and media artists.
Five of his piano performances were featured in the Christmas Grand Piano album, released at the end of 2016. At the beginning of 2017 he released as singles a series of six piano-solo pieces: Starnight, Good Day, Impermanent, Veritas, Caseless and Atmos.
In February 2021 he released the album Water Of Tranquillity, featuring 10 new compositions based on the theme of water. In March 2021 the album was followed by four new compositions, released as singles: Flying At Sunset, So Truly Relaxing, Calming Comfort and Moments Of Clarity. Calvin Strauss' music is featured in the videos of the YouTube channel "So Truly Relaxing".

Calvin Strauss è un compositore, musicista e pianista italiano attivo nella composizione post-minimalista e nell’incontro della musica classica con i generi musica popolari alternativi dal 2016. Ha compiuto studi classici ed è influenzato anche dai generi contemporanei. Ha composto brani per il teatro, per l’opera, per la danza e per il cinema.
